I am Latvian illustrator and printmaker that lives between Riga and other Europe's cities. To create my work I use collage and screen printing techniques. I love experimenting with these two methods to create colourful work.
In my illustrations, I like to use bold colour and texture layers created of simple shapes. I find inspirations usually in the surroundings - I like to bring that to the paper with the touch of the abstract. One of my favourite characters to illustrate is animals, fish and plants. I enjoy capturing their spirits so people can fall in love with them all over again.
London was my home for past nine years and recently I relocated back in Riga. In London, I was working at Print Club London where I was teaching beginners screen printing workshop and printing live sessions in different locations around England. I also, developed and taught a screen-printing short course at The Cass Design school. Occasionally was worked together with Good Day Production where I delivered well-tailored fabric printing workshops for children. When I was not teaching screen printing classes I was working on illustrations and screen-print commissions.
Now, having moved back to my hometown, I am working on my own artwork in my studio, but always open for a new projects and collaborations here in Riga or elsewhere in the world.
